Volunteering

We owe our many successes in large part to our dedicated members and volunteers.

You can read about, and sign up for, restoration trips HERE.

Protecting Oregon's High Desert is no easy task, but when you have a group of dedicated volunteers like ONDA has, no task seems insurmountable.  As a small grass-roots organization, we really couldn't do it without you.  Group close-up

Whether it is volunteering on a restoration project, tabling at an event, participating in a wilderness inventory, building GIS maps, or sharing a unique skill, we invite you to join us in our efforts to protect Oregon's high desert wilderness for everyone.

The ONDA staff and board extend our heart felt thank you to the MANY volunteers that have so graciously donated their time and talents over the years.  You have truly made a difference.

We welcome all of your comments and suggestions. If you are a past or potential ONDA volunteer and would like to send us comments about your experience please do that HERE

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has."

-Margaret Mead

"The time has come for the Forest Service to adaptively manage these allotments in response to conditions on the ground rather than in reaction to this court's rulings."

-Hon. Ancer L. Haggerty, U.S. District Court for Oregon
