Hart Mountain Petition to President Clinton
July 26, 1999 - A coalition of 30 conservation groups petitioned President Clinton to use his executive privileges to expand the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge. The expansion would include 1.1 million acres of pronghorn and sage grouse habitat, and would encompass the refuge boundaries first proposed by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1936.
