Stream Restoration of Robinson Creek
Pine Creek Conservation Area

Steelhead are being found further and further up Robinson Canyon. This small stream is in fact important fish rearing habitat: come help us continue to improve stream condition by planting willows along the stream banks. For registration and additional information click HERE.

Sage Grouse Lek Monitoring
Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge

Calling all bird lovers and early morning risers: Head out to Hart Mountain for three days of sage grouse counting, hiking and hot springs. If this weekend doesn't work for you, the refuge needs volunteers from March 17-May 4. For registration and additional information click HERE.

John Day "Float and Pull"

Back by popular demand! Ouzel Outfitters will be our guide down the
John Day River. One of
the four days will be spent conducting restoration work at Pine Creek Conservation Area, and the others will be

"The Crown Jewel of Oregon's high desert" Steens Mountain rises a vertical mile above the surrounding landscape. Be a field botanist for the weekend! Join us on an new annual project documenting plant community change within the Western
Juniper Management Area. General plant identification skills are desirable,
but are not required. We will help familiarize you the first day. This should be a truly enjoyable weekend, at the peak of flower bloom in the Steens. For Registration and additional information click HERE.

Sutton Mountain Fence Pull

September 5 (Fri.), 5:00 PM to September 7 (Sun.) 5:00 PM
Join us for a weekend atop Sutton Mountain, just an hour's drive East of Prineville. Next to the John Day Fossil Beds
National Monument, you'll
be able to get a close look at the area's volcanically formed geologies while
traveling off the beaten path. We'll pull obsolete fence on Saturday, and enjoy an optional hike on Sunday. For registration and additional information click HERE.

Sutton Mountain Restoration Trip
Sutton Mountain & Pat's Cabin Wilderness Study Areas

This trip is an excellent way to explore the Sutton Mountain area by working on multiple small projects next to the John Day river and in Pat's Cabin WSA. For registration and additional information, click HERE.
