Lawsuit challenging BLM proposal that would seed 55-square miles of wildfire-burned sagebrush steppe in the Owyhee uplands with non-native crested wheatgrass.

Aug. 1, '03 - The BLM submits maps and information to ONDA regarding the 2001 Jackies Butte fire rehabilitation seeding, previous seedings, vegetation types, and monitoring of seedings. The information was submitted pursuant to the April 2003 settlement of ONDA's December 2001 lawsuit. Dec. 5, '01 - ONDA, Committee for Idaho's High Desert, and Western Watersheds Project filed a lawsuit in federal court, challenging a BLM proposal to seed 55-square miles of wildfire-burned rangeland surrounding Jackies Butte in southeast Oregon, alleging violations of NEPA and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act.
